The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has commended two governors for revealing their test results for Coronavirus.
The former Vice president lauded Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state and Governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna state for disclosing their positive status to Nigerians.
Atiku, who recently disclosed the positive status of his son commended immigration boss, Babandede who confirmed he tested positive to COVID-19 on Sunday.
He further stated that the country can defeat the dreaded virus by being open about it and testing more individuals.
According to him, a positive status to Coronavirus is not a death sentence.
He took to his Twitter account and wrote: “I wish to recommend the examples of Governors Bala Mohammed, Nasir El-rufai and CG of Immigration, Babandede MFR for their disclosure.”
“We can beat this pandemic by being open about it, educating our people, isolation and testing. It is not a death sentence, we will all be fine.”
“Be safe; wash your hands, keep social distance and avoid large gatherings.”
