Lagos: APC Replies As PDP Guber Candidate Calls For Sanwo-Olu’s Resignation

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been given a seven-day ultimatum by the Save Climate and Democracy Naija Coalition, to lift the ban on operations of motorcycles and tricycles in the state.

The coalition has revealed that it will file a lawsuit against Governor Sanwo-Olu if he fails to reverse the order.

The spokesperson of the group, Ayo Ademiluyi, noted that the Lagos State government would face “Take Back Lagos protest” if it fails to lift the ban.

He said, “The group hereby issues the Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led Lagos State Government a seven-day ultimatum to cease and dissipate on Feb. 11, to reverse the ban on “Okada” and “Keke” operators.”

“We shall on the said date hold citywide “#tackbacklagos protest”.

The group added that the ban without an alternative and industrialisation to absorb the unemployed riders will lead to crisis.

“We have been proven right as the chaos and anarchy is here for everyone to experience.”

“Lagosians have been trekking long distances like the Biblical Children of Israel,” he said.

He questioned the state government for failing to put the palliative measures in place before the order.
