The now elected Governor of Imo State has declared by the Supreme Court a week ago, Hope Uzodinma has requested that the people of Imo State continue to put his administration in their prayers for a successful tenure.

Naija News understands that Uzodinma had on Sunday during appreciation service in his home Church begged the people of the state to include his tenure in their prayers.

The governor who hails from Omuma, a town in the Oru East Local Government Area of the state, has noted that he has come to be of service to the people of the state and not to rule over them.

Uzodinma said this during a thanksgiving service at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish at his home town.

“I have come to serve and not to rule. Please continue to keep my administration in your prayers,” He said.

“I will be a governor for all, be it any senatorial zone or political party affiliation.”

The speaker of the state House of Assembly, Collins Chiji, prominent politicians Tony Chukwu and Chikwem Onuoha were at the church service.

Naija News recalls that the governor-elect of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has given an order to all financial institutions where the state funds are maintained not to honour any draft till further notice.
