Police rescue kidnapped DPO, four others rescued
-DPO Aliyu Amos has regained his freedom form the den of kidnappers.
-He was abducted early this week.
A Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Aliyu Amos, who was kidnapped in Niger State this week has been rescued.
Naija News gathered that Amos, who is a superintendent of police and DPO of Sarki Pawa Divisional Headquarters in Niger State, was rescued by police special forces at about 6:00 p.m. on Thursday night.
The police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, who is a chief superintendent of police, told Premium Times that the special forces also rescued four others, whose identity are not known yet, from the kidnappers.

Mr Moshood also disclosed that some suspected kidnappers were arrested during the rescue operation, and would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
Meanwhile, Naija News had reported that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, expressed concern over cases of police kidnapping in the country and urged the police to always protect themselves from being a victim.
