Kano State: Death Penalty Awaits Kidnappers – Ganduje

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has ordered for the immediate amendment of panel code to the death penalty to kidnappers in the state.

Ganduje stated this during the inauguration of a 16-man committee of inquiry on Kano 9 children recently kidnapped and sold in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The Kano State Governor charged the state Ministry of Justice to immediately amend the state panel code to stipulate the death penalty on kidnappers.

Ganduje further stated that both Islam and Christianity have condemned the act of kidnapping.

“Kidnapping is an act of criminality both religions have condemned the act in totality,” he stated.
