Paul Merson Reveals Chelsea Target For Europa, Premier League Under Sarri

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has revealed the target of Chelsea in Europa and Premier League under their new coach, Maurizio Sarri this season.

The blues coach had taken over at Stamford Bridge from Antonio Conte in the summer after Chelsea finished in fifth position in Premier League last season.

Merson claimed that the targets of Sarri is to finish in top four on the Premier League table and also win the Europa League trophy.

Speaking on Chelsea’s targets this season, Merson told Sky Sports: “The top four and the Europa League.

“Looking at the team of the first game in Europa League, Sarri will give it a right go.”

He added, “He hasn’t won anything yet.”

Chelsea had won their opening five Premier League games this season to make a promising start to life under Sarri.

Chelsea however, dropped their first point of the season following a 0-0 draw against West Ham United last weekend.

They will take on Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday.
