20 Escape Death As Explosion Rocks Kano Again

Many people have been left dead with over 50 injured and hospitalised over various degrees of burns at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital as a result of a gas explosion in Lafia, Nasarawa state capital.

Naija News learnt that the explosion was caused by a gas leakage from Monaco gas refill station located in the premises of Natson petrol station.

Some vehicles and tricycles conveying passengers along Jos road were hit by flames of fire reeling from the explosion leaving an unspecified number of persons burnt alive, while others sustained severe burnt as the fire continued to spread as people scampered for safety.

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) and fire service were seen evacuating victims of the explosion when our correspondent visited the scene of the incident.
