VIDEO: Shettima, Atiku, Masari, Governors Attend Special Prayer For Tinubu’s Late Mother

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Sunday joined governors, ministers, traditional rulers and other top government officials at the National Mosque, Abuja, for the annual special prayer session held in honour of the late Chief Abibatu Mogaji, mother of President Bola Tinubu.

Naija News reports that this was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communication (Office of the Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha.

The event, which has become an annual gathering, drew political leaders, government functionaries and prominent Islamic scholars who offered prayers for the repose of the late matriarch’s soul.

Among the dignitaries who accompanied the Vice President were the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, and his Yobe State counterpart, Mai Mala Buni.

Also present were the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqa Rabe Darma; the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu; and the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ibrahim Masari.

Several former governors including Usman Ododo of Kogi State, Uba Sani of Kaduna State, traditional rulers and senior government officials also attended the prayer session.

The annual gathering was organised to honour the memory of Chief Abibatu Mogaji, a renowned businesswoman, community leader and political figure whose influence extended beyond Lagos State.
