Makama Reveals Identity Of Brothers Of Notorious Bandit, Bello Turji

Counter-insurgency and security analyst in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, has identified two men he described as brothers of notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji.

Naija News reports that Makama alleged that the men had been involved in violent activities across parts of Sokoto and Zamfara states.

In a post shared on Wednesday, on 𝕏, the security analyst published a photograph of the two men and claimed they were among those linked to insecurity in the North-West.

Makama alleged that the two men had been terrorising communities in Sokoto and Zamfara.

“These are the two real brothers of Bello Turji. They are ruthless and have been terrorising the peace-loving people in Sokoto and Zamfara. They will soon meet their Waterloo,” Makama wrote.

Bello Turji is one of Nigeria’s most wanted bandit leaders and has been linked to several attacks, kidnappings and killings across the North-West.

His activities have been reported mostly in Zamfara, Sokoto and neighbouring states.

Security agencies have repeatedly launched operations against his network, but armed gangs in the region have continued to pose threats to residents.

The Federal Government and security forces have intensified operations against armed groups operating in the North-West.

Authorities have reported the killing of several bandit commanders and the rescue of kidnapped victims in recent months.
