I Was Devasted – Judikay Shares How She Lost Sixth Pregnancy In February

Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has opened up on losing a pregnancy for the sixth time, revealing the emotional struggle she went through during the experience.

Naija News reports that the singer, in a video on Instagram, said the incident happened in February 2025 when she was already over three months pregnant.

She explained that she first noticed cramps while going about her normal activities and initially thought it was something minor.

Shortly after, she began to notice light bleeding, which later became heavier and did not stop.

As the situation worsened, she said she quickly realised what was happening. She was taken to the hospital, where doctors confirmed a missed miscarriage and carried out a D&C procedure.

After returning home, she tried to deal with the pain by allowing herself to cry and hoping she would feel better with time.

However, she said the nights were the hardest, as she often woke up in deep pain and distress, struggling with emotions she could not fully express.

The singer disclosed that the loss marked the sixth time she had gone through such an experience, making the moment even more difficult for her to handle.

She said: “In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me. I was pregnant well over three months. One of these days I was going about my day when I started to experience cramps. I said, ‘oh, okay, it was one of those things.’ And then trickles of blood and I said, ‘oh spotting.’ I was devastated because I understood what that meant automatically.

“In the silence of the night, I would experience a pain that I could not express. I would wake and cry and say, Jesus, where are you?”

Judikay, whose real name is Judith Kanayo-Opara, is married to Anselem Opara.

The couple got married in November 2020 and welcomed their first child, a son, in March 2022.
