Serge Gnabry Commits Future To Bayern Munich With New Deal

Bayern Munich have confirmed that Serge Gnabry has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2028, ending months of speculation over his long term future.

Serge Gnabry, 30, whose previous deal was due to expire this summer, has been a key figure at the Allianz Arena since joining the German champions in 2017. Over that period, he has played a major role in one of the most successful eras in Bayern’s history.

Speaking after the announcement, Gnabry said: “I’m excited to get to play for Bayern for more years. Talks were always positive. When I started at Bayern, I never would’ve thought that I’d be here for 10 years by the end of this contract.

“My goals are to keep things going. We’re a real unit and can achieve something big. The reasons to renew my contract are the team, the coaches, the whole club, the fans, the city and the environment. I feel very much at home at Bayern.”

Gnabry, who was born in Stuttgart, began his professional career at Arsenal before returning to Germany with Werder Bremen. He later joined Bayern Munich and spent his first season on loan at Hoffenheim, where he continued his development before becoming a regular in Bayern’s starting line-up.

Since arriving in Munich, Gnabry has made 311 competitive appearances for the club, scoring 100 goals and registering 69 assists. His honours list includes six Bundesliga titles, two DFB Cups, the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and five German Super Cups.

At the international level, he won the UEFA Under-21 European Championship with Germany in 2017 and has earned 57 senior caps, scoring 25 goals.
