Oluremi Tinubu Reacts To Uzodinma, Ododo’s Electoral Victories

The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has hailed the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidates in the Imo and Kogi governorship elections.

Recall that Usman Ododo and Hope Uzodinma were declared as the winners of the November 11 election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In Kogi state, Ododo won with 446,237 votes to defeat his closest rival, Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who scored 259,052. While Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came third with 46,362 votes.

In Imo, Uzodnma scored 540,308 votes to defeat his closest challenger of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Samuel Anyanwu, who scored 71,503 votes, while the Labour Party candidate, Athan Achonu, came third with 64,081 votes.

In a statement issued by her spokesperson, Busola Kukoyi on Monday, Mrs Tinubu congratulated Governor Uzodimma, his wife and the people of Imo State on the outcome of last Saturday’s election.

The First Lady said his victory is a plus to democracy.

The statement reads: “Her excellency, the First Lady of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON (@SenRemiTinubu) congratulates HE Hope Uzodimma (@Hope_Uzodimma1) and his wife HE Barr. Chioma Uzodimma (@Chioma_Uzodimma) and the people of IMO state

“It is truly marvelous in our eyes.”

Also, Mrs Tinubu felicitated with Ododo for the resounding victory in the just concluded election and commended the people of Kogi state for their support and confidence in the APC.
