Saturday PUNCH: After months of campaigns and preparations by the various stakeholders, voters in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states will on Saturday (today) elect their new governors. In the three states, the Independent National Electoral Commission had revealed that 5,169,692 voters collected their permanent voter cards out of the 5,409,438 registered voters in the three states.

This Day: Tension remains very high in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa states as voters file out this morning to elect governors that will manage affairs in the next four years.Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and his counterpart in Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, are seeking re-election, while Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State who is rounding off his second term, is supporting the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Usman Ododo, whom he anointed, among the aspirants, to win the party’s ticket.
