The Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach, Jose Peseiro, has released his 23-man squad for the commencement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The 23-man Super Eagles squad will execute the World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho at 5 p.m. on November 16, and against Zimbabwe at 2 p.m. on November 19.

In their first qualification game for the 2026 USA, Mexico, and Canada World Cup, the Super Eagles will take on Lesotho at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Thursday. They will then travel to Rwanda where they will play Zimbabwe at Huye Stadium in Butare.

One of the newest faces in the squad is 24-year-old Nathan Tella who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga. The in-form attacker was born in England to Nigerian parents which makes him eligible to play for the three times African champions.

Coach Peseiro had to invite Nathan Tella due to the injury woes in the squad’s attack as the team’s talisman Victor Osimhen of Napoli, and AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze won’t be available for the qualifiers due to injuries.

Jamilu Collins of Cardiff City makes his comeback following a lengthy injury layoff. And Enyimba goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke got a place in the team.

Below are the Super Eagles squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe:

Francis Uzoho, Olorunleke Ojo, and Maduka Okoye
