Akeredolu: Ondo Commissioner Resigns From Aiyedatiwa's Cabinet

Doyin Odebowale, the Special Adviser on Special Duty and Strategy to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, has claimed that the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, hasn’t been in the state for months.

However, speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Odebowale said Aiyedatiwa had left the state since the House of Assembly began an impeachment process against him over alleged corruption.

The governor’s aide asserted that the deputy governor is not on official leave or any sick leave, which warranted his absence from work and the state.

Akeredolu’s aide claims the recent ripples over the Ondo governor’s absence show his principal is surrounded by enemies from within, even his family.

Aiyedatiwa’s Impeachment: Ganduje Reveals Outcome Of Meeting With Ondo Lawmakers

The National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Tuesday, said the Ondo State House of Assembly has agreed to suspend the ongoing impeachment process against the state deputy governor.

Ganduje revealed this while addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja, after a closed-door meeting with members of the reconciliation committee.

Naija News gathered that the meeting lasted for about two hours at the APC national secretariat.
