All the major leagues across the world are on hold for the October international break as players return to their national teams for some international matches.

Some of the international matches that will be going down from tonight to next week are merely friendly games or preparatory games for major competitions while others are qualification matches.

Naija News has compiled some of the hottest international matches to watch during the October international break which could drag on until October 19.

All the matches involving African countries are merely friendly since the 2026 FIFA World Cup will commence in November. Most of the games involving European countries are Euro 2024 qualifiers.

As for South American teams, they have already started their 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while their North American counterparts are playing international friendlies.
