Buhari's Eight Years In Power Was A Disaster - Jonathan’s Ex-Aide

Director of Voter Intelligence and Strategy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council in the 2023 election, Osita Chidoka, has urged President Bola Tinubu, to save the country from further embarrassment and resign.

Naija News reports that Chidoka stated this during an interview on Arise TV, saying Tinubu should admit to forging his certificate.

The former Minister of Aviation described the case of Tinubu’s academic record as an ‘International Embarrassment’, and Nigeria will be a subject of mockery before the international scene.

He further stated that the Supreme Court would be doing itself a disservice if it failed to take a stand on the position of Tinubu’s academic record released by the Chicago State University (CSU).

Chidoka added that the country is facing many challenges, and Tinubu cannot discuss its solutions with the Western region having a tainted mandate.

He said, “We are going to submit it to the Supreme Court; whether they will accept it or not is a question for them, but I think this is beyond legalism, I don’t think Nigerians should be debating if the Supreme Court will accept the document or not. It is an international embarrassment, we are going to be the subject of international conversation. Our president would be one who needs to make difficult decisions in Nigeria. The population of Nigeria is predominantly young, and they need to be mobilized.

“The fuel subsidy has gone, the dollar is at one thousand Naira, and our productions have fallen below one million barrels, our country’s reserve is made of fake dollars borrowed from banks, and our letters of credit are no longer accepted by international banks. We also have issues with deregulating the electricity sector in Nigeria, and for you to take these decisions, you need a national consensus, you need legitimacy, you need to go to the West African region to spread the gospel of democracy.

“You can go there with a tainted mandate, I don’t think the point is the Supreme Court decision. The Supreme Court will be doing itself and the country a great disservice if it does not take judiciary notice of what the legal position in what Chicago State University has done. So what is at issue here is that the president should just resign, there should be some honour in this country. He should just say he made a mistake and doesn’t know how he got the certificate. “
