Former Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday shared a throwback photo of his young days in secondary school to celebrate World Teachers’ Day (WTD).

Naija News reports that World Teachers’ Day is celebrated annually on October 5.

Saraki via verified social media handle, Instagram, said the WTD reminds him of the priceless lessons his teachers imparted in him throughout his academic journey.

The former governor of Kwara State hailed every teacher who has made sacrifices for the profession, adding that they are appreciated and valued.

He said; “On this #WorldTeachersDay, I’m reminded of the invaluable lessons and values my teachers imparted to me throughout my academic journey. Their teachings on perseverance, discipline, and the importance of service to the community have helped mould me into the person I am today.

“I commend the efforts of every teacher who has made sacrifices and demonstrated dedication to their profession.

“To every teacher out there, know that you are appreciated and valued. Happy World Teachers Day!”
