Bolanle Austen Reveals How Much She Paid To Get Wizkid, Wande Coal To Perform Years Back

Popular Nigerian Filmmaker Bolanle Austen-Peters has disclosed that she paid  WizkidIce Prince and Wande Coal  N250,000 to perform 13 years ago.

The 54-year-old made this known on Monday while speaking at The Covenant Nation’s national development fair; ‘ The Platform.’

She said: “I remember 13 years ago, I had a party and I invited Mohits crew. I’m sure some of you know them. They came with four artistes, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Wande Coal, and one more person.

“Guess how much I paid 13 years ago, N250,000 for all of them? Today, I dare not even ask that they come and play for me. The beauty of our youths is that they have been able to transform their talents into wealth and that is something that is commendable and that we all need to start understanding.”

The ‘Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti’ director also commended Nollywood, noting how movies are now being acquired for millions of dollars.

Bolanle is the daughter of Afe Babalola, a senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Beverly Osu Reveals Why She Got Expelled From Catholic Convent

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Beverly Osu  recently opened up on how she joined a convent as a reverend sister and got expelled.

She disclosed this whilst featuring in the latest episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, hosted by actor, Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, aka Taymesa.

Osu said her family got her to enroll in a convent when she was still in high school.

She added that her participation in extracurricular activities which included performing secular music and taking part in staging plays, particularly one in which she played Lucifer, led to her expulsion.

She, however, stated that the school authorities did not explicitly use the term expulsion, they asked her to continue God’s work elsewhere and never return.
