Aisha Yesufu Reacts As Tribunal Sacks Kogi Senator Caught Kneeling Before Gov. Bello

Political activist, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to a report from an online publication claiming that a committee of the House of Representatives charged with investigating job racketeering in government parastatals has been engaging in extortion of money from heads of federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, including those of tertiary institutions across the country.

The report, a product of an investigation conducted by Premium Times, claimed that the Committee, posturing as an anti-corruption body, has ironically been intimidating heads of agencies into paying huge bribes to avoid being disgraced in public and indicted in a report to be issued after the ongoing hearings.

According to the report, the Committee has summoned almost all the heads of the nation’s federal institutions to appear before it.

The ad-hoc committee is made up of 37 members, one lawmaker per state and the Federal Capital Territory.

Below are the names of those allegedly involved in the nefarious activity.

Reacting to the names on the list, Yesufu wrote, “The tribal lines were blurred. The religious lines were blurred.

“The party lines were also blurred. The regional lines were blurred

“The age lines were blurred.  The gender lines are difficult to ascertain. If it is not blurred, it will most likely be due to gender inequality.”
