Shehu Sani Reacts As Tinubu Govt Plans To Purchase N5 Billion Presidential Yacht

Political analyst, Shehu Sani has raised an alarm over an alleged planned attack on the Kaduna-Abuja Train.

Naija News recalls that a leaked memo of the Department of State Services (DSS) to the Managing Director of Nigerian Railway Corporation, Abuja had warned of another planned attack on the Kaduna-Abuja train.

This online publication had reported that an Abuja–Kaduna bound train was attacked in Katari village, Kaduna on March 28, 2022, prompting the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) to suspend operations along the route

However, in the leaked letter signed by DSS Director of FCT Command, R.N. Adepemu, titled, ‘Security Alert: Impending Threat By A Coalition Of Banditry Syndicate To Attack Abuja-Kaduna Train Service Along AKTS Corridor’, the secret police urged train passengers to be vigilant as the bandits were planning to carry out another attack.

The secret memo stated that a coalition of bandit gangs was plotting to attack the Abuja-Kaduna train to kidnap passengers on board for ransom any moment from now.

Reacting to the report via Twitter, Sani recounted how a similar report came before the last attack and insisted that protective measures must be taken to ensure that the situation does not repeat itself.

He wrote, “The report that Bandits will attack Kaduna Abuja Train is worrying. A similar report came before the last tragic attack. All measures must be taken to protect passengers and the rail lines.”
