Tinubu Govt Has Brought Back Fuel Subsidy, And Is Even Paying More But Many Nigerians Don't Know - El-Rufai

A video of the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, singing to a song by the late Jamaican singer, Boba Marley, has surfaced online.

In the viral video seen by Naija News, the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was seen happy and singing the lyrics of the song word for word.

The development comes days after the former governor was missing at the wedding ceremony of his son’s wedding to his second wife, Aisha Shuaibu.

It was learned that El-Rufai was said to have travelled out of the country following the Senate’s decision to step down the confirmation of his ministerial nomination over security issues.

Naija News understands that El-Rufai’s ministerial confirmation was suspended following a security report by the Department of State Security (DSS) and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.

How Shettima, Ribadu, Gbajabiamila, Akpabio Allegedly Moved Against El-Rufai

Top political gladiators close to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and in the Senate have been fingered in the plot to stop the appointment of El-Rufai as a minister in the present administration.

Reports have now emerged claiming that the decision to hold back his confirmation emanated from high-wired politics involving the Vice President, Kashim Shettima; Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.

According to reports, the political ‘strongmen’ around the president are looking far ahead to the post-Tinubu years and are worried a cabinet post could put El-Rufai in a prime position to be a political force.
