The manager of Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique is hoping that the French giants will reach an agreement with Kylian Mbappe as soon as possible.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner and 2022 finalist has been in an intense contract tussle with PSG since he wrote to the club to inform them he does not wish to renew his contract which is set to expire on June 30, 2024.

In reaction to that, the reigning French champions have kicked him out of the team’s first team and they are making every effort to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Since PSG would rather sell Mbappe than let him leave for nothing when his contract ends next year, they have threatened him that he won’t play a game throughout this season if he doesn’t sign a new contract with the club.

Reports claimed that PSG have offered the 24-year-old French international a deal with a 2024 summer release clause but Kylian Mbappe refused to sign it.

Also, there are reports that PSG believes that Mbappe has already agreed on a deal with his dream club, Real Madrid, to join the Spanish side for free next summer, a move the French giants are working so hard to prevent.

Ahead of their French Ligue 1 opener against Lorient on Saturday, August 12, Luis Enrique said, “I hope that the club and the player will find an agreement.”

On other PSG players who could leave the club this summer, Luis Enrique added, “I will not talk about my discussions with Neymar and Verratti.

“It is in the private domain. I invite you to pay attention to my actions. My decisions will make my opinion clear.”
