Elevator Tragedy: ‘An Arrow Has Been Fired’ – Sanwo-Olu’s Wife Reacts To Death Of Lagos Doctor

The wife of the Lagos State Governor, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has described the death of a doctor, Vwaere Diaso, in an elevator at the Lagos State General Hospital, Odan, Lagos Island, as a spiritual attack.

According to her, a spiritual arrow has been thrown into the health care system in the country.

Naija News recalls that Vwaere Diaso, a female medical doctor died in an elevator in the hospital which fell from the 10th floor to the ground floor on Tuesday.

She said, “An arrow has been fired into the health family.”

The Lagos State government set up an inquiry team to investigate the elevator accident that killed Diaso on Wednesday.

Following the incident the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Lagos State announced an indefinite strike, after instructing all the doctors working in the three government hospitals on the Lagos Island to down tools in protest of the death of Diaso.

But on Wednesday, the governor’s wife, while addressing the media, implied that the incident was caused by a “spiritual attack” against the health sector.

In a now-viral video, Ibijoke also linked the incident to the jet accident that occurred in the state on Tuesday while seeking answers from the crowd.

“An arrow has been fired into the health family. First of August is a day I will never forget,” she said. “The same day a helicopter crashed, the same day a lift dropped down. How? How? How?”
