PDP Releases Timetable, Schedule Of Activities For 2024 Bye Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed optimism that the election petition tribunal would do justice in the petition of its candidate, Atiku Abubakar on the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

The party also described the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 election as fraudulent.

The major opposition party made this known in a post on its Twitter handle on Tuesday after the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) reserved judgment in Atiku’s petition against Tinubu before the tribunal.

The tribunal took the decision after the court adopted the final written address in the petition filed by the PDP and its candidate.

The party wrote: “Earlier today, the Vice President of Nigeria (1999-2007), and @OfficialPDPNig Presidential Candidate in the February 25, 2023 Election, H.E. @atiku, the PDP Acting National Chairman, H.E. Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum and other party leaders/members, were at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), in Abuja.

“They were at the court for the adoption of final written address in the Petition filed by the PDP and its Candidate, @atiku, challenging the fraudulent declaration of @officialABAT
of the @OfficialAPCNg as President of Nigeria by @inecnigeria.

“The PEPC has reserved judgment to a date that will be communicated to the Parties in the case.

“The PDP is hopeful that the court will do Justice on this matter.”
