Wike, Uzodinma, Mbah... - IPOB Releases List Of Top Politicians, Others Allegedly Working Against Release Of Nnamdi Kanu

The younger brother of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Kingsley Kanu, has warned people in South East Nigeria not to use his brother’s name as an excuse for any sit-at-home exercise.

Kanu told the people of Southeast to obey his brother’s call to cancel the sit-at-home exercises in the region.

Naija News recalls that the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, had on Friday, in a handwritten letter, called for an end to the Monday sit-at-home order in the region.

Kanu, in the letter, also said all agitation to force his release should be stopped with immediate effect.

He made the declaration through his special lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, during a world press conference in Enugu State.

Kanu’s letter followed the refusal by Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed disciple, to announce the cancellation and further declaration through his media platforms.

The IPOB leader warned Ekpa to “desist from calling for any sit-at-home henceforth” and “to make a public announcement to the effect that he (Mazi Simon Ekpa) is in receipt of a direct order from him (Mazi Nnamdi Kanu) to cancel any pending sit-at-home in place at the moment.”

Kingsley Kanu, however, took to the micro-blogging platform Twitter on Sunday to inform anyone still interested in the sustenance of a sit-at-home protest to call for it in their name and stop using Nnamdi Kanu’s name.

He said, “Everyone’s worried about stopping insecurities in #Biafraland . Well, there’s really an easy way: Stop participating in it.

“Now #SitAtHome is cancelled by #MaziNnamdikanu, it’s time to identify the beneficiaries of these crimes in Southeast. Call for Sit At Home in your name.”
