17-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Delta

A teenage Nigerian boy identified as Clinton, who was only 17 years old, reportedly drowned in a dirty swamp in Owhase, a community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to eyewitnesses, Clinton, who was in the company of others, went to the swamp today, July 26, to swim, unknown to their parents.

It was gathered that the friends of the deceased raised an alarm that he had drowned when they could not find him around them.

The incident had thrown the parents of the boy and residents of the community, who rushed to the bushy swamp in search of the deceased, into a state of mourning.

Sources, including his friends, told DAILY POST the deceased did not know how to swim but had been going to the swamp on his own to play without anyone accompanying him before today’s tragedy.

The corpse of the deceased is yet to be found.
