Presidential Yacht: Nigerians Reaping Consequence Of Voting Tinubu - Adebayo

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2023  election, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has told Nigerians the current hardship created by the removal of the fuel subsidy and its accompanying crisis were the consequences of the votes they casted.

According to him, it’s too early for Nigerians to start groaning because President Bola Tinubu is yet to commence rolling out his policies.

The SDP flag bearer, who told Nigerians to wait for what is ahead, said they should expect more complications when the President starts rolling out his own policies.

Adebayo was reacting to the recent upward review of the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as fuel, Naija News learned.

While speaking with Arise Television on Wednesday, the SDP chieftain said measures the president is currently taking are based on what he met on the ground and not his own policies yet.

He stated that “This is the consequence of the votes you cast, and it is too early to cry now because the real problem hasn’t come. But when these problems come, we should solve them as a country; we should not see them as politics.

“President Tinubu is taking certain measures that are legacy measures of what he met on the ground. His own policies have not come out. When they come out, you will see that there are complications there.

“You can be an expert in winning elections, but you have to be an expert in running a government. I have not seen that expertise yet. Maybe when the cabinets come out and they start to think.”

Recall that on May 29 when President Bola Tinubu was inaugurated, he declared the end of the fuel subsidy regime.

And on Tuesday fuel prices jumped from N537 to N620 per litre, a development which has caused a lot uproar among Nigerians.
