Veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has congratulated the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday.

In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Charly Boy said the former Governor of Anambra State has inspired young Nigerians to be more and want more for themselves.

The political commentator asserted that Obi’s compassion to listen to the needs of others stands him out as one of Nigerian leaders.

He wrote: “Our beloved Peter Obi, you have inspired young Nigerians to be more and want more.

“Your compassion to listen to the needs of others stands you out.

“In dis battle with the soulless, evil, criminal enterprise, we the people have anointed you.  ‘The Chosen’”

Meanwhile, the veteran singer has lamented over the present situation in the country.

Naija News recalls that there was a hike in the petroleum pump price of fuel from N539 to N617 in the Federal Capital Territory and other parts of the country.

Speaking on Twitter, Charly Boy wondered what could be more chaotic than what Nigeria is currently experiencing.

He lamented that the present administration is worse than that of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
