Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon, has tackled the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA over the arrest of a Lekki, Lagos-based female lawyer identified as Ebikpolade Helen.

Naija News reports that NDLEA arrested Helen, who allegedly specializes in the production and distribution of skuchies, a mixture of cannabis, opioids, and black currant.

A statement released by Femi Babafemi, spokesperson of the agency, said Ebikpolade’s arrest came in a follow-up operation in Awka, Anambra state following an earlier seizure of 5kg cannabis and 12 bottles of prepared skuchies in her apartment at Lekki.

Reacting to the development in the comment section of a news blog, the thespian tackled the anti-drug agency over the recent death of a  2-year-old Ivan Omhonria Onose who was hit in his lower abdomen by a stray bullet alleged to have been shot by its officers on duty in Asaba.

Although the agency assured that investigations have commenced on that unfortunate incident, the actor berated its operatives for killing the toddler in Delta.

Replying to the post, he wrote: “Was this before or after they shot a 2 year old boy and fled?”
