Nottingham Forest Set To Offload Emmanuel Dennis To Leeds

Nottingham Forest have reportedly permitted Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis to join relegated Leeds United this summer after an abysmal debut season at the club.

Football Insider claimed that Leeds United are aware that Nottingham Forest is willing to let Dennis leave because of his challenging 2022-2023 season in which he managed to score two goals and provided three assists in 25 Premier League games.

Forest are also willing to sell the 25-year-old Nigerian forward because they have an overloaded roster and need to raise their own offensive game.

Leeds United are also thinking about signing Emmanuel Dennis because they anticipate losing a large number of players as a result of their relegation from the Premier League last season.

Dennis, who had a stellar Premier League season for the Hornets in 2021–2022, was bought by Forest from Watford for an estimated £20 million last summer.

He scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 33 top-flight games for Watford, but he was unable to prevent their relegation to the Championship.

In a Nottingham Forest shirt, Dennis has struggled to rediscover his form, hence, he had less game time.

Since his 2022 transfer, the Super Eagles striker made just 25 appearances for Forest (with only 9 starts), scoring two goals and providing three assists. His contract at the City Ground expires in June 2026.
