The PUNCH: There were controversies, on Sunday, over the alleged resignation of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu. While some sources confirmed to The PUNCH that the embattled chairman had resigned from his position, others said it was a rumour.


The Guardian: Despite the Federal Executive Council’s (FEC) approval on construction, lack of funding, investors’ apathy, and promoters’ inability to articulate the commercial viability of relevant projects have stalled the development of three proposed deep seaports projects in Akwa Ibom, Badagry and Ondo.


The Nation: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday explained how Africa can maintain its relevance in a competitive global arena. He said African countries should be active to compete globally, affirm and defend their continental unity, and reject what he described as “a new scramble for the continent”.


Daily Trust: Bureau de Change (BDC) operators in Lagos, Abuja and Kano have been experiencing mixed fortunes owing to the recent forex unification policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Daily Trust reports. The CBN had on June 14 announced the unification of all segments of the foreign exchange (FX) market, and the Naira. Checks by Daily Trust showed that on Friday, the dollar closed at N803.90 on the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window.
