Chibuisi Takes Over As Theatre Commander For North-East Operation Against Boko Haram, ISWAP [Photos]

Major General Gold Chibuisi has taken over as Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in the North East region of the country.

The new Commander took over from Major General Ibrahim Ali at the Headquarters of the North East Joint Task Force, Maiduguri, Borno State, on Thursday.

Major General Ibrahim will take over as the Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force Ndjamena (MNJTF) Headquarters.

This follows the recent redeployment of senior officers and officers across various Theatre of Operations, Formations and Units across the country by the new Chief Of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Taoreed Lagbaja.

The climax of the handing-over ceremony includes the signing of the Handing and Taking over notes, and the decoration of the incoming TC with the OPHK insignia.

Other highlights include the presentation of the Command Flag, an inspection of quarter guards and the farewell address to troops as well as a brief interview with members of the press.
