United States forward, Christian Pulisic is on the verge of moving from Chelsea to AC Milan for £20 million after failing to play regularly at the Premier League club.

The 24-year-old Pulisic will have his medical this week in Milan as he is no longer required at Stamford Bridge after a challenging 2022-2023 season.

He was the most expensive player in North America in 2019 after Chelsea paid £57.6 million to Borussia Dortmund for his services.

Christian Pulisic participated in the 2021 Champions League triumph over Manchester City and netted 26 goals in 145 appearances for the West London club before his exit.

Pulisic’s move to Milan would make him the 10th player to exit Chelsea this summer and would reunite him with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a former teammate who left Chelsea this summer for the Italian Serie A club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s 20-year-old striker, David Datro Fofana has signed a season-long loan with Union Berlin of the Bundesliga.

The Ivorian youngster has made just four first-team appearances for Chelsea since he joined the club from Molde in January.

Aside from Christian Pulisic and Fofana, Chelsea have already offloaded several first-team players this summer as they continue to rebuild the team after a disastrous 2022-2023 season in which they finished 12th in the league.

The superstars who left the club include Mason Mount who switched to Manchester United, Mateo Kovacic who moved to Manchester City, and Kai Havertz who moved to Arsenal.

While Kalidou Koulibaly transferred to Al-Hilal, Edouard Mendy signed with Al-Ahli, N’Golo Kante departed for Al-Ittihad and the club’s captain Cesar Azpilicueta joined Atletico Madrid.
