Sanwo-Olu Massively Wins His Polling Unit For Tinubu, APC

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The governor, in a statement on Monday, 9th July, said the feat was evidence of Tinubu’s outstanding collaborative leadership.

Naija News recalls that Tinubu emerged as Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS on Sunday at the 63rd Ordinary Session in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau.

Sanwo-Olu, in a state statement signed by the President’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, noted that the development significantly affirms Nigeria’s leadership in the West African sub-region and Africa.

He said his emergence shows that his colleagues have confidence in him to lead the vital coalition that will manifest in effective collaboration and practical solutions to the challenges of economic growth, sustainable development, and issues of trans-border security.

Sanwo-Olu said, “On behalf of the people of Lagos State, I want to congratulate our leader, mentor, and pathfinder, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on this remarkable achievement as the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

“We have absolute confidence that you will perform exceptionally well in your new role as the Head of the important regional organisation, and we are happy to be associated with you.”
