Novak Djokovic returned to the top of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings on Monday, April 3, 2023.

Novak Djokovic is now the reigning number-one tennis player despite missing the Miami Open in March 2023.

Carlos Alcaraz’s failure to successfully defend his Miami Open victory from the previous year caused him to fall in the rankings, from the first spot to second.

As a direct result, Novak Djokovic returned to the top of the rankings, and Stefanos Tsitsipas fell to number three. Daniil Medvedev moved up to 4th after winning the 2023 Miami Open, while Ruud is ranked 5th.

Rublev is now ranked sixth, Auger-Aliassime seventh, Rune is ranked eighth, while Sinner has reentered the top 10 thanks to his performance in the 2023 Miami Open, he is now ranked 9th. While Fritz completes the top ten.

Karen Khachanov played a decent event in Miami and is on the verge of breaking back into the top 10, moving up five spots to the 11th spot.

Ruusuvuori, Mannarino, and Sonego all had good performances and jumped more than 10 spots in the rankings, while players like Jack Draper moved the opposite way and are no longer in the top 50. The greatest mover was Christopher Eubanks, who produced a career-best performance in Miami and rose 34 ranks to number 85.
