Gov Election: Collation Of Enugu Results To Resume Today

The collation of results for the governorship election conducted on the 18th of March, 2023, in Enugu State, will continue at 5 pm on Wednesday (today).

The development was confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The electoral body on Monday suspended the results collation, noting that the decision was taken after a meeting to review the elections.

INEC National Commissioner, Festus Okoye stated that results from Nkanu East and Nsukka LGAs in Enugu State were suspended for further review.

Similarly, INEC suspended the collation of results in Obingwa LGA of Abia State where he noted that its office was invaded by thugs on Sunday.

Okoye had said that a review will be undertaken immediately before the process is concluded.

Meanwhile, the electoral body on Wednesday announced that collation in Abia State will also commence today.
