Aisha Yesufu Reacts As Tribunal Sacks Kogi Senator Caught Kneeling Before Gov. Bello

Popular Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has lamented over the tribal profiling and victimization faced by some Nigerians in the 2023 general elections.

Naija News recalls that some Igbos in Lagos alleged that they were prevented from voting due to their tribe in the recently concluded gubernatorial elections.

Speaking via Twitter, Yesufu argued that one should not blame only politicians for the tribalism in Lagos State as there are people who were brought up with generational hatred, adding that Nigerians ought to come together and address the situation.

She lamented that some people were brought up with generational hatred, insisting Nigerians should sit together to address the development.

“It is not just politicians. People were brought up with generational hatred and until we sit down and address it, we will continue to have it reoccurring. (https://) It doesn’t come up only during politics,” she tweeted.

Igbos Should Visit Kano And Seek Advice From Their Kinsmen

Meanwhile, Yesufu has advised the Igbos in Lagos to visit Kano and learn how their brothers were able to stop themselves from getting victimized.

She wrote, “The Igbos in Lagos must go and meet their kinsmen in Kano and learn from them how they stopped themselves from being picked on as victims
Those who love peace must learn to organize as effectively as those who love war― Martin Luther King Jr.”
