#YobeDecides: Governor Mala Buni Is Happy Over Turnout Of Voters

The incumbent governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni said he is happy with the level of turnout of voters in the ongoing 2023 governorship and state house of assembly elections in the state.

Governor Mai Mala Buni who is also a contestant as he attempts to return to the office for his second term, voted at polling unit 004 Bulturam/Yarimary ward, Gujba Local Government Area of the state at about 10 am.

After voting in his hometown, Buni-Gari, the governor urged the voters to continue to conduct themselves while they go through the process.

He said, “I am highly impressed with the turnout of voters as this town, Buni-Gari, was an epicenter of Boko Haram insurgency, but today it is peaceful and the people are here to cast their votes.”

The governor added, “I urged the voters to conduct themselves peacefully as this is an exercise where everyone is expected to exercise their franchise and nobody should be disenfranchised.”
