The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has urged Nigerians to come out and vote in the March 11 governorship and state houses of assembly elections.

Peter Obi made this call at the headquarters of the Labour Party in Abuja on Thursday in his first international press conference after Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.

Naija News recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of Saturday’s presidential election amidst agitations from opposition parties against the process and outcome of the election.

Due to how fraudulent the process is said to be, most supporters of the opposition parties especially LP supporters are said to have lost faith in the electoral process.

When asked what his message was for the dispirited segment of LP’s supporters, Peter Obi urged them to come out on March 11 to vote for the candidates of LP.

The former Anambra state governor added: “Come out and vote in the (March 11) election, please come out and be part of the elections. I assure you that I will be a part of it, and I am totally committed to a better future for this country”.
