#NigeriaDecides: Peter Obi Records Landslide Victory In Anambra, Floors Tinubu, Atiku

The candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi has been declared as the winner of the February 25 presidential election in Anambra State.

Naija News reports Peter Obi who is an indigene of Anambra State won massively with 584, 621 votes.

His closest challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 9,036 votes while the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Bola Tinubu got 5,111 votes.

The results were declared by the Returning officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) Prof Nnenna Oti at the INEC collation center, Awka.

Victor Umeh Wins Anambra Central For Labour Party

The incumbent Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife has been defeated in the 2023 election by Victor Umeh.

Naija News reports Umeh who contested for the senatorial seat on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), defeated Ekwunife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by a wide margin.

According to the results announced by the Returning Officer for the Anambra Central Senatorial District election, Professor Chuka Enuka, Umeh polled 103,608, votes to defeat Ekwunife and other candidates.

Giving a breakdown of the results at the INEC office, Professor Enuka said Hon. Dozie Nwankwo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) polled 69,702 votes to come second, Senator Ekwunife came third with 49,532 votes while APC candidate, Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe and the YPP’s candidate, Dr Chinedu Umeadi got 8204 and 6909 votes respectively.
