The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has defeated his closest rival, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, with 109,913 votes in Bauchi State.

Naija News reports that the results were announced on Monday evening by the state Collation Officer of the presidential election, Prof. Abdulkarim Mohammed, the Vice Chancellor, of Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State.

Abdulkarim announced the results at the Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Conference Hall at the Independent National Electoral Commission Headquarters, Bauchi, the Collation Center for the presidential election in the state.

While giving a summary of the results, the collation officer said that Atiku got 426,607 votes while Tinubu, secured 316,694 votes.

According to Abdulkarim the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso got 72,103 while Peter Obi of the Labour Party scored 27,373 votes.

Mohammed said that the registered voters in the state are: 2,749,268 while those that were accredited to vote are: 899,769.

The valid votes cast, according to him, are 853,516, rejected votes 29,030, and the total votes cast are 882,546.
