#NigeriaDecides: Peter Obi Records Landslide Victory In His Local Govt

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi recorded an overwhelming and convincing victory in his local government area.

Peter Obi who is from Anaocha local government area of Anambra State recorded 33,695 votes in Saturday’s presidential election.

His closest challenger according to the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar who got 584 votes.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) came third with 468 votes.

Supreme Court Affirms Chijioke Edeoga As Enugu Labour Party Guber Candidate

A Supreme Court judgement on Monday affirmed the candidacy of Chijioke Edeoga as the Labour Party governorship candidate for Enugu State.

Naija News reports that the apex court declared Edeoga as the authentic governorship candidate of the party in the state.

Edeoga’s candidature was challenged by Everestus Nnaji.

The judgement follows an earlier verdict from a Federal High Court in Abuja ordering a fresh primary election in the party.

But Edeoga went further to challenge the High Court’s judgment at the Appeal Court and won.

However, Nnaji proceeded to the Supreme Court to reverse the Appellate Court’s judgement, but it didn’t go in his favour.
