#NigeriaDecides: Tinubu Wins Two More LGAs In Ekiti
The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has defeated his counterparts in two more Local Government Areas of Ekiti State.
Naija News report that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Presiding Officer in Ekiti, Prof Akeem Lasisi, declared the APC flagbearer as the winner of the presidential election in the local councils.
Lasisi announced that Tinubu polled the highest votes in the LGAs followed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) came third and fourth respectively.
Recall that Tinubu had earlier emerged winner of the 2023 presidential election in all polls from eight Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.
South West is projected to be the stronghold of the APC presidential candidate. So far, results from Ekiti, one of the states in the region, show Tinubu taking the lead as announced by the electoral body.
