Naira Scarcity: Express Your Anger To Vote Out APC - Kwankwaso Tells Nigerians

The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has urged Nigerians not to resort to violence over the harsh effects of the Naira swap policy.

Naija News reports that the new cash policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has led to the scarcity of the Naira across the nation, which has led to violent protests and deaths.

In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Thursday, Kwankwaso urged Nigerians to use their anger to vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC) which initiated and mismanaged the policy.

The former Governor of Kano State asserted that the policy is ill-advised and timed, and called on all Nigerians to maintain law and order ahead of the general elections.

The presidential hopeful also expressed concern over the violence that erupted in some states on Wednesday over the cash scarcity crisis.

He said, “I’m concerned about reports of tensions and fracas in some parts of the country over the biting effects of the Naira redesign policy.

“While I maintain that the policy is ill-advised and timed, I call on all Nigerians to maintain law and order, and to avoid violent reactions. I also urge all of us to express our collective anger at the polls on February 25.”

Naira Scarcity: Current Crisis Conceived, Birthed, Nurtured By APC – Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has slammed the ruling APC for blaming the opposition for the current naira crisis rocking the nation.

In a statement on Thursday he signed, Atiku said the current crisis was conceived, birthed, and nurtured by the APC government.

According to the PDP presidential candidate, Nigerians have had to endure hardship due to APC’s cluelessness.
