Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, besieged the Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, as the party held its campaign rally.

Naija News reports that despite the Naira crunch and the current directives of President Muhammadu Buhari, earlier today, a massive crowd stormed the mega rally to drum support for the former governor of Lagos State.

After the rally, the APC’s flagbearer alongside his entourage paid a visit to the Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde in his office to seek his support.

Makinde is one of the aggrieved G-5 Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the presidential aspiration of Atiku Abubakar.

Tinubu Hails El-Rufai

Meanwhile, Bola Tinubu has praised the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai on the occasion of his 63rd birthday.

Tinubu in a statement by his media assistant, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, in Abuja on Thursday described El-Rufai as a cerebral technocrat and administrator.

He praised the Kaduna State Governor for transforming from an accidental civil servant to an accomplished civil servant.

The former Lagos State Governor also eulogized El-Rufai as a dependable ally and “a strong-willed man who gives his all to any cause he believes in”.

“I join friends and family members in celebrating the cerebral technocrat and administrator,” Tinubu said in the statement.

“Mallam El-Rufai has admirably moved from an ‘accidental public servant’ to a well-accomplished polished one whose achievements are admired by both friends and foes.
