Obi Not Popular In The North

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign organization, Daniel Bwala has downplayed the chances of the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi at the 2023 elections.

According to him, Peter Obi does not have the needed popularity among Nigerians particularly in the north to win the 2023 presidential election.

Bwala stated categorically that the former Anambra State Governor would not win a single northern state in the forthcoming election.

Though the PDP campaign spokesperson acknowledged that the LP candidate is among the popular options going into the February 25 presidential elections, Bwala said Obi has failed to develop his political base in the northern region.

This according to him, would make Obi lose the presidential race as he doesn’t stand a chance in the north.

Bwala made the submission during an interview with the Punch where he was asked about Obi’s growing popularity and his acceptance in the north.
