Police Have The Right To Demand Permit For Drone Shooting - Hundeyin

The Lagos State Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, has given an update on the ‘Baale’ that threatened to fight residents who will not vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election.

Naija News earlier reported that in a purported audio recording, the man said members of the community who will not vote for APC will not be allowed to engage in any business and would risk losing their business.

The Baale also allegedly threatened that community members who refuse to vote for APC in the 2023 election will be sent out.

Update

In a post via Twitter on Wednesday, the Police spokesperson said the man speaking in the viral audio was the Eti-Osa local government council secretary and not the Baale as widely speculated.

He added that an invitation has been sent to him and he is expected at the state headquarters today.

In his word: “We work with facts, not emotions, hearsay, rumour or gossip. Everyone screamed it was a Baale. Our painstaking investigation suggested it was the Council Secretary.

“We already sent out an invitation (even before a video emerged). He is expected at the State Headquarters today.”
