[BREAKING] Tinubu's Visit: I have Soft Spot For Atiku - Says Wike

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Friday warned that the reconciliation moves with the five aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) identified as the G-5 might close soon.

The G-5 in the last few months have threatened to work against the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar.

The governors had threatened to endorse the opposition party presidential candidate following the refusal of the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu to resign from office.

The aggrieved governors had condemned the northern dominance in key positions in the party’s leadership.

The Rivers State Governor speaking on reconciling with PDP said he does not work as an individual.

Wike in an interview with BBC Pidgin said, “you see, I don’t work as an individual, if you know what they call guerilla warfare, there are different strategies, there are different ways of going to war, what you see today is not what you will see tomorrow. Watch what happens.”

Speaking on endorsing a presidential candidate, Wike said, “You will know, it will not be hidden, I am not rushing, you should know me very well, strategies are always involved.

“But the point I am trying to tell you is that let the PDP have their opportunity, there comes a time when the door will close and nothing, even if the heavens will come down, let us see it happen.”
