The presidential candidate of the Accord Party, Chris Imumolen has said he is optimistic that 15 million Nigerians are prepared to vote for him to be Nigeria’s next president in the forthcoming elections.

According to him, his analysis shows that he needs 17 million votes to emerge as the winner at the polls and he is positive that 15 million Nigerians are out there ready to vote for him next month.

Imumolen, who made the pronouncement on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday as learnt by Naija News, noted that many Nigerians might not know him, but from his analysis, he is sure 15 million Nigerians know him and they would vote for him in February.

The Accord Party flag bearer advanced that “I am a professor; we do analyses to know if we are in a race to win. What I need is 17 million votes, 17 million people who will go to the ballot and vote for me. I can tell you we are doing our analysis and we have our data all across Nigeria.

“We are adopting a non-conventional system of voting. We have started collating our data privately. I am being analytical, I am an ICT professor. Many Nigerians might not know me but I can tell you I have 15 million Nigerians that know me, that are ready to go to the ballot and vote for me and we are going to increase that number.”

He also explained that being a young candidate has given him an edge over his counterparts in other parties, adding that his party might not be pulling a crowd because they have decided not to rent a crowd, but the Accord Party has the backing of real people who actually have the Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs).

He also remarked that the party decided not to adopt the conventional practice of buying people because they have real followers.
